To achieve a flawless, natural-looking spray tan, it’s important to prep your skin the right way!
Here are a few essential steps to ensure your tan lasts longer and looks perfect:
Schedule Beauty Appointments Ahead of Time: Make sure to complete all beauty services like manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, and any injectables (like Botox) at least 24 hours before your spray tan. We recommend waxing at least 48 hours prior to your tan.
Shower, Shave, and Exfoliate: Prep your skin the night before your session. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells, allowing for an even application of your tan. Avoid showering right before your appointment.
Avoid Products: Refrain from using deodorants, lotions, makeup, or oils before your session. These products can interfere with the tanning solution.
Dress Comfortably: Wear dark, loose clothing to your session (think baggy pants, loose shirt, and flip-flops). Avoid jeans, leggings, dresses, or shorts.
Say No to Certain Soaps: If you use Dove or Olay products, switch them out before your tan! They can leave a barrier on your skin that will affect your tan’s outcome.
Be Mindful of Skin Conditions: If you have severely dry skin or have recently used products like retinol or Accutane, we recommend discontinuing them at least 7 days before your tan. Let us know about any skin conditions, and we’ll customize your treatment to avoid areas that may be sensitive.

What to Expect:
Wear Whatever You Feel Comfortable In: You can wear whatever you like during your tan—whether that’s a bikini, bra, thong, or nothing at all. If you’re under 18, we do require undergarments.
Color Consultation: Before we begin, we’ll discuss your ideal shade and desired darkness to make sure you leave feeling glowing and confident!
Airbrush Application: The process typically takes less than 20 minutes. You’ll be guided through various positions as your technician applies the airbrush tan.

Care Tips for Your New Glow:
Rinse the Right Way: Follow the timing your technician gives you and rinse off with warm water. Avoid using soap or body wash during your first rinse to remove the cosmetic bronzer (the instant color you see). This is not the actual tan—it’s just the bronzer used for initial color.
No Touching: Avoid touching your skin or skin-to-skin contact until your first rinse. This helps avoid streaks or smudging.
Pat Dry and Moisturize: After rinsing, gently blot your skin dry with a towel and apply moisturizer immediately to keep your skin hydrated.
Allow Time for the Tan to Develop: Your final tan will fully develop over the next 24 hours, so don’t worry if it looks lighter right after your rinse.
Avoid Soap for 24 Hours: Wait at least 24 hours before using soap or body wash to fully allow your tan to set.
Keep Your Skin Hydrated: Moisturize daily, both morning and night, to ensure your tan lasts as long as possible.
Spray Tan Tip: The instant cosmetic bronzer will give you immediate color, but it’s like makeup! It can smudge, move, or build up. Don’t judge your tan until after your first rinse and full shower. That’s when you’ll see the true, final result!

What to Avoid After Your Tan:
For optimal results and a longer-lasting tan, it’s important to avoid the following:
Swimming Pools, Hot Tubs, or the Ocean
AHA-based body washes or exfoliating products
Exfoliating tools like loofahs or sugar scrubs
Excessive Sweating or Exercise (especially within 24 hours)
Perfume or Body Sprays - Dove/ Oil Of Olay
Lotions with mineral Oils/heavily fragranced (Ditch the Bath & Body Works)
